Orthodontics - Fixed Braces |
While removable braces can only alter the vertical positioning of the teeth, permanently attached braces can influence osteopathic movement, rotate the teeth and the placement of teeth in and out of the arch.
Fixed orthodontic apparatus contain 3B - components and aids like:
- Orthodontic Band
- Braces
- Bows
- O – rings
They are attached directly to the teeth and adjusted regularly
Treatment takes 2 – 3 years.
Attachment of braces:
- Separation : cramped teeth are separated with small rubber rings
- A professional tooth cleansing is carried out the day the braces are attached
- Teeth surfaces are etched
- Teeth are rinsed and dried for better attachment
- Braces are attached with special biological glue
- Control of correct position of the braces
- Attachment of bow; O – rings are attached for movement of the teeth
